About Us

The Aqua Shocks Swim Team is dedicated to providing the children of Alamogordo an opportunity to excel in the sport of swimming.  The team is a member of USA Swimming and New Mexico Swimming.  The majority of the team’s competitions are held in El Paso, Texas - just about 1.5 hours from Alamogordo.  We are honored to be invited to the El Paso swim meets under the direction of Border Swimming, a world class organization.

The Aqua Shocks is a 100% volunteer organization with dedicated coaches, parents, and a board of directors.  The team is open to all ages.

The team swims daily at the Alamogordo Family Recreation Center located on Oregon Ave. in Alamogordo.  The pool is a 50 meter, 25 yard venue. Swim times are 4 to 5:30 on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 4 to 5 on Friday.

Dues are $35 per month and the USA registration fee for 2012 is $58.
